Frequently Asked Questions

What is the deadline for applications?

The call for applications closes after 17 February 2026, 23:59 CET.

Anybody who is representing an Indie videogame studio. Your studio needs to be a registered company, and you need to be actively working on an IP of your own.

Yes! But please note that participation at all in-person workshops is mandatory. This also applies if you hold a passport that requires a visa to travel. Make sure you can realistically attend all events before applying.

Most of the different parts of the program take place online (Zoom, Discord…). However, we do run an in-person kick-off workshop in Málaga, Spain on 8-9 April 2025, and an in-person wrap-up workshop in Düsseldorf, Germany on 18 August 2025.

Attendance at these workshops is mandatory.

We require participants to attend all the workshops. Failure to do so may lead to an expulsion from the program.

Please note that some workshops are in-person and may require traveling.

We receive many applications to our program and places are limited. Your application will be reviewed by an independent jury of industry leaders, who will decide if you are going to be admitted to the program.

You know that your application has been received when you get a confirmation email. Please make sure to check your spam folders, too.

After receiving a confirmation email, you can still go back and edit or complete your application until the application deadline. If you are selected for a spot in the program, we will reach out to you for a call to onboard you. Please reach out to us, if you have not heard back from us by 28 February 2026.

We will inform you about whether or not your application has been successful by the 20th of February 2026.

We are happy to welcome any member of your team for all online parts of our program. Since we have to keep in mind health and safety regulations for our in-person events, we ask you to plan on attending those alone. We therefore ask you to carefully choose the contact person before submitting your application, keeping travelling and attendance in mind.

If you have female or gender-diverse co-founders or senior staff, they may apply for an exception to our 1-person attendance rule. Please reach out to matthes@spielfabrique.eu to inquire further regarding this.

Many people from the same studios are allowed on our Discord server, which is our main channel of communication.

The program’s language, in both verbal and written communication, will be English

Most people in the program are not native English speakers, so we are not expecting perfection. However, your mentor and other studios in the program may not speak your local language, so please make sure that your studio’s contact person can comfortably converse in English.

As part of our program and through our partner network, we offer a host of opportunities, many involving pitching in front of potential financiers – both through in-person events and online. Most of these opportunities have fewer spots than there are participants in the program, however, so we reserve the right to select, in case there are more interested applicants than spots available.

No. We are not an investment firm.

We are here to prepare you to pitch in front of publishers or investors. We invite you to exclusive events where potential financiers are present, and we connect you to our own network of publishers and investors, if we think your company is a good fit for them. Participants in our program vastly expand their network and pitching skills, and have a much higher chance of finding financial support.

Other questions? Please reach out to matthes@spielfabrique.eu to ask for more details.
